Where are you located?

We are based in Modbury, Adelaide SA (approx. 15km from the CBD)

How do I place an order?

For a quick and convenient order enquiry, fill in our “get a quote” page on our website. Alternatively, feel free to contact us via email, phone or send us a message via our Facebook Page (Baking With Loz). Order enquiries will be responded to ASAP, always check your spam if you don’t hear from us. Refer to our contact page for all the details.

How much notice do you need for an order?

As much as possible! We hate to say no to customers; however, being a sole baker in a home kitchen we unfortunately can’t always accommodate everybody. Weekends and holidays are particularly popular times for us so the best way to avoid missing out is to get in contact and place your order ASAP. Depending on availability and bookings, we would appreciate minimum 2 weeks notice for cake and cookie orders and 1 weeks’ notice for cupcakes. It’s never too early to book in your cake so don’t be afraid to contact us at any time.

Do you do last minute cake orders?

We can try! We can only accept a certain number of orders per week so last minute orders are based on the availability at the time. For urgent enquiries, please include “URGENT” in your email subject line or Facebook message and we will do our best to get in contact with you quickly.

Do you do cake tastings?

Absolutely! We would love for you to try our cakes. At current, we offer a cupcake tasting box which features 6 of our cake flavours with various fillings and toppings for you to try. These boxes are offered monthly and we like to change the flavours in the box to give you the opportunity to try new combinations. The cost is $25 and if you order an occasion cake with us as a result of your tasting, you are reimbursed that amount. Keep an eye out on our Instagram and Facebook pages for the next round of tasting boxes and to place your orders.
please note, due to the hustle and bustle of the festive period, tasting boxes are not available in December. We offer a Christmas special box in place of the tasting boxes.

Do you cater to allergies (e.g. gluten, nuts)?

Yes - We acknowledge different dietary requirements and allergies and we will do our best to cater to everyone’s needs. All of our cakes,cupcakes,cookies and desserts are baked gluten free (unless otherwise specified on our menus). Some of our buttercream options are not gluten free (e.g. Biscoff) so please bear that in mind when choosing your cake flavours. We no longer offer dairy free (vegan) options. Please let us know your dietary requirements upon ordering.
Please note, our kitchen processes nuts. We take precautionary action to ensure your cake is free from your allergen; however, we cannot guarantee that cross contamination in our preparation area will not occur. It is your responsibility to inform your consumers of allergen risks and Baking With Loz will not be liable for any reaction or consequence upon consumption.

Do you deliver and how much is it?

We are no longer offering delivery on any of our products. All products must be collected from our Modbury location.

How do you accept payment?

Payment is accepted via cash, eftpos (1.5% processing fee applies) or bank transfer. If you wish to bank transfer, final payment must be made no less than 72hours prior to pickup/delivery. We carry change for cash tender. Eftpos transactions accept chip reader/PayWave/Apple Pay/Google Pay methods. A receipt is available upon request.
please note, if you have not finalised your payment prior to the date of your event for delivery, we reserve the right to not deliver your product(s).

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, we require a 20% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit for all occasion cake orders. All orders for cupcakes, cookies and desserts require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Once your deposit has been processed and received, your order is secure. If you have ordered with us but your deposit has not been paid, we use a first-in first-served policy and your order is at risk of being overridden if someone else pays their deposit before you.

What is your cancellation policy? Can I cancel my order after I have paid a deposit?

Yes. You can cancel your order at anytime; however, to avoid us being left out of pocket, your deposit is non-refundable. We have limited capacity for bookings and it is important to note that your booking is taking up someone else’s opportunity to order with us and for that reason you forfeit your deposit upon cancellation. For whatever reason we need to cancel your booking (illness/injury etc.) your deposit and any payment made will be fully refunded.
